The Current Scenario
The Genesis brand is up-and-coming with two models, G90, and the G80 but words are spreading that soon they will grow into a family of three with the Grand entry of G70. 2019 Genesis G70
Launched in South Korea in 2017, the G70 came with options for three engines –
- 0-liter gas I4 with 248 horsepower,
- 2-liter I4 diesel with 199 horsepower
- 3-liter turbocharged V6 with 365 horsepower.
The 3rd option is for the G70 Sport trim, that would be able to perform 0-60 time of 4.7 seconds along with a top speed of about 168 mph. the G70 model would pack a respectable number of security systems. This time their Active Safety Control suite will include features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency brakes, blind spot monitoring and forward collision warning. It would even absorb the shock of colliding with pedestrians to prevent less injuries to the affected people.

2018 G80 mid-size Luxury Sedan
The G80 model has already made its appearance this year with three engine options:
- 311-hp 3.8-liter V-6,
- 365-hp twin-turbo 3.3-liter V-6,
- 420-hp 5.0-liter V-8.
It is a Rear-wheel drive car and comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. One can also go for an all-wheel drive option which is there. Some interesting features packed in this middle-sized luxury sedan is an 8.0-inch touchscreen Apple CarPlay with an Android Auto, a sleek looking head-up display, navigation system, an automated emergency brake option and an adaptive cruise control.
The model has won hearts for its neat trim and good looks, a seamless thrust all packed up with a lengthy warranty period available at a keen price.
G90 Flagship Sedan
The 2017 Genesis G90 is also known as the flagship sedan which came out to be the first vehicle that showcase Genesis’ “Athletic Elegance” with its supreme design creating a guideline for its future vehicles.
The G90 has two powertrain options.
- 3-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine delivering 365 horsepower with 376 lb-ft of torque.
- Tau 5.0-liter V8 engine that producing 420 horsepower with 383 lb-ft of torque.
The interior of G90 is remarkably spacious and luxurious. With a horizontal layout supported the finest of materials to bring the world-class ambience ensuring a stress-free journey.
