Obtain a brake service quote from a local mechanic and schedule a visit every 10,000 miles, or as often as you change your oil. In addition to searching for signs of damage or serious wear, your brakes specialist can remove excess rust and buildup from components as well as apply necessary lubrication and tighten loose parts.
Keep Up With Oil Changes
